The Challenge Brass Band is proud to announce that they have received a Grant from Lotteries West for $10,000.

Wanneroo MP, Paul Miles, was on hand to present the cheque to the band he said he had attended many official services and events where the band had performed and was always impressed with their high level of professional performance.

“With this funding, the band can now purchase not only much-needed new portable band chairs, but even more importantly, a replacement BB-flat tuba” Mr Miles said.

The new tuba has been ordered from a specialist music manufacturer in England and should arrive within the next month or so.

“Lotterywest grants make very practical and ongoing difference to so many community groups,”
Mr Miles said.

“Community volunteers give their time freely, but with costs increasing every year, Lotterywest funding helps to bridge the financial gap and ensure that our valued community groups continue to operate,” he said.
